    ================================================================================
    Rasta/Patois Dictionary.
    ================================================================================

    BUMBA CLOT,
    (TO GET) BUN :to have one's spouse or girl/boy-friend cheat on oneself, to be cheated out of something
    RAS CLOT, BLOOD CLOT : curse words
    BUMBO: bottom; backside. A common curse word, especially in combination with CLOT (cloth)
    CLOT: 1. cloth, an essential part of most Jamaican bad words, such as bumbo clot, rass clot, blood clot, etc.
    The essence of Jamaican cursing seems to be nastiness, rather than the blashemy or sexuality which is characteristic of the metropolitan countries.
    2. to hit or strike - from the verb "to clout".
    3. literally means a used tampon
    PUSSY CLOT : A curse word ref. to a woman's sanitary napkin.
    RAS or RASS : backside, rump; a common curse is to rass! or rass clot! a title used by Rastafarians meaning "lord" or "head"

    No doubt. I tried to post the whole dictionary, but it was too big. I bet if you search for patois dictionary you can find a copy. It's a pretty cool file.

    now all my dancehall records will even mean more to me.....that list was nice.

    i especially liked this definition which is way MISUSED.

    SOUNDBWOY : usually a derogatory way to refer to the selecter or other personality in another sound system. This term is most often employed in clashes, on dub plates built for clashes, and so on. Sometimes it is not used in such a negative manner, but most of the time one refers to the someone in the crew as a soundman, not a boy.

    "Me come yah fi drink milk, me no come yah fi count cow!"

    good path to walk.

    My favorite phrase on that list is

    "Fiya bun a muss muss tail, him tink a cool breeze" :-)

    ANYWAY - does it really matter dat much?
    It's a 'black ting'
    Why is England so interested in da Jamaican lingo anyway?
    One minute theres racism, da next - everyones trying to chat like a blackman!!!

    Why don't we all be ourselves & chat da lingo we were born into, not try & be someting else.

    Yes - i'm half dis and half dat - so I know what i'm chatting 'bout.
